Justin Winzenburg

Dr Justin Winzenburg has his Ph.D. in New testament from London School of Theology in the UK. His expertise is in the areas of the New Testament and its Roman Imperial context as well as in New testament hermeneutics. His dissertation, entitled Subversive Speech Acts? An Evaluation of an Imperial Critical Reading of Ephesians, explores whether the content of Ephesians was intended to challenge Roman imperial ideology. He is currently Assistant Professor of New Testament and Greek at Crown College in St. Bonifacius Minnesota. Dr. Winzenburg teaches a wide range of New Testament courses including Paul’s letter to the Romans, New testament History, and Corinthians Correspondence. He also co-teaches classes on faith, religion and political powers, global theology, and faith and film.  

Dr. Winzenburg grew up in Hopkins MN where he became interested in sports and music at an early age. He is an avid collector of vinyl records and he enjoys playing golf, basketball, and fantasy football. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.
